that sprung into life at your birth, and which shall be missing at your death. If you enter a monastery of almost any religion, they also will try to do this depersonalization to get to the deeper part. In the army they will depersonalize your hesitancy and make you astonishingly aggressive. In a romantic relationship all partners try to reform the others to their wants. The difference is Miracle of Love is about awakening that deeper part. But if you are surrendering out of fear, then all you are doing is enhancing the fear, not surrendering to God. Acknowledge it and say you are operating out of fear and you don’t want to do as requested. Generally the leader will understand, but if they don’t then stand by what you are able to do. If you need to hold on to that protection, do so until you don’t need it anymore. The leaders are not God. Only God is God.
-- This is where some people get hurt. They come to the organization with some deep pain and want to examine it, to cure it, but they stay defined by it and won’t let go of it. There is a lot of pain release in the meditations, but many don’t really want to cure it, they just want to keep looking at it. And so in pain they stay, yet feeling like the group is making them wrong. They are not wrong, just that MOL isn’t about this. Kalindi, the woman who run the organization has said many times this is not therapy. For that you need a therapist. But the mediator often doesn’t hear. There is an inner pain that feels the love that is in the group and craves it, yet still wants to operate as the inner child. This is normal, but it is not what Miracle of Love is designed around. MOL is attempting to lift off of the personality that covers you, not to make the cover better or feel good. I suffered over this for several years, I had deep pain and looked to them to cure it. Only God can do that. I went to a great therapist though who helped me work through the emotional psychological issues, and the meditations led me deep enough within that I don’t have that need anymore.
-- When I think back the leaders spoke to me in clear plain English, but I translated them to what I expected and couldn’t understand. They did anything wrong. I had my experience and understood the world as I did, but they were speaking of something I had no experience of at that point. I thought they were talking in parables, only to find they were speaking plain English. I couldn’t place it. Now I can. If you don’t have the experience you can’t hear it. I was looking for external validation in a group dedicated to removing the need for that. One can feel hurt in the process. I know I did. But since the change when my entire life experience ended and started over, all that faded away.
-- So, if you have interest in the Intensive, or any of the other seminars they offer, I encourage you to see if it would be something you are interested in. Are you on for a serious self examination? Then I encourage you to try it out. Would a therapist be better? Then you need to go that path. Miracle of Love has a lot to offer, but in a specialized spiritual field. It can hurt the emotions for some. For others it is the best thing that will answer them. The Miracle of Love.
-- There are complaints that their Internet web site has for years been woefully lacking in information and reveals nothing. There is a reason for this. Until recently they didn’t have anyone in the organization who knew how to work with web sites. So they made a really basic one. Now they do have a person that is good at it (no not me) so the site has become more useful. However the anti MOL sites have created a dark mystery of how MOL is secret and withholding and their site reflects this by giving no useful information, never stopping to consider the possibility that MOL didn’t have the knowledge within the group to make a better web site. Now it is better. So there you go, dark mystery solved.
-- If you would like to meet some of the members it is quite simple. They have a meditation room in San Diego near Adams and 35th, with brochures to read. They have twice a month introductions, and occasionally have dances. You are more than welcome to check these out. You won’t be able to come to the main meditation just walking off the street because there are some things you need to be aware of before that can happen. But they are hardly hiding from you. In closing I want to restate that this is me talking, and in no way should be considered an expression from Miracle of Love. I just felt I wanted to state the positive and the reality about the group. If you fit in the process there is no greater place to be, and if you don’t fit, well that is fine also. There is more than one set of shoes to walk in.
