no, and then pointing at the authority as bad for not protecting me from me. I cannot say that is true for all others, but I am fairly sure it is for a couple I know personally. So they did not protect themselves and asked for help that wasn’t geared towards staying where they were.
- This attempt to change the personality is hardly exclusive to Miracle of Love. If you go into most monastic groups or most spiritual and religious groups, this idea of lifting the made up self to awaken the deeper self will be present. The Catholic Monk surrendering their will and life to disappear into the Heart of Jesus, the Momin Brothers of Islam, the Buddhist trying to eclipse into The Buddha, the U.S. Army stripping away your old personality to become a soldier, your boss trying to mold you to fit the corporate culture, is all essentially the same. The difference is the attempt to awake the deep soul from a dream that has always been here is an intense struggle, like pulling glue off your being, a glue with a mind of its own and a desire to stay stuck to you. But that is what many of the members of Miracle of Love are attempting, without the benefit of a monastery and living in a culture dedicated to creating images and dreams. So it is an intense experience, and some trying without knowing this, and it can cause harm to them. Not that Miracle of Love doesn’t tell them, their books flow with pointing at this, but one hears what one hears.
- If you want some emotional psychological help, Miracle of Love is only marginally good for that. A therapist or group is a better choice. But if you understand there is another deeper part of you, and you feel a pull within to experience it, this might be the place for you.
